Back in the Woods Cabin and Horse Hotel
Back-in-the-Woods is a charming, mountain cabin surrounded by nature with the National Forest of three sides of the property. This private cabin is 1/2 mile from Warwoman Raod and 10 miles from the town of Clayton, Ga.. The cabin has central heat/air, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, tongue and groove pine walls, wood floors, full kitchen, fireplace and hand-crafted rhododendron railings.

HILLTOP CABIN is a custom built, comfy cabin with vaulted ceilings, attractive furnishings and a "wall of windows" providing mountain and woods views. There is plenty of firewood for the stacked rock fireplace. The entertainment center has a 25" TV with basic cable and a DVD-VHS player. There is a stacked washer-dryer and two covered porches and a wrap-around deck. The HORSE HOTEL permits the guests to bring their horses and rent the cabin and 4-stall barn/corral that are adjacent to the 28 miles of state maintained horse trails through Georgia and S. Carolina. There are an additional 10-12 miles of adjacent trails along Warwoman River and through an old-growth forest. |
RABUN COUNTY is 90 miles NE of Atlanta and provides mountain views, hiking, the Appalachian and Bartrum Trails, horseback riding, 3 state parks, 3 mountain lakes, creeks, rivers, boating, swimming, fishing, the Chattooga River, river rafting, Tallulah Gorge, museums and art centers, casual and fine-dining, shopping and antiques. The Rabun County Welcome Center (Hwy 441 next to Ingles) is a good resource for local attractions.
